A police complex with the headquarters of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław will be built on an 11-hectare plot in the city center, where today there are buildings belonging to the Military Property Agency. The investment will be implemented in stages to be finally completed in 2029, said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, on Saturday.

The new headquarters of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław will be built in the complex at ul. Poznańska. The 11-hectare area is taken over from the Military Property Agency. – This place is special. Today, the police headquarters in Wrocław is dispersed between four locations. This creates a lot of inconvenience, mainly logistical, said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, on Saturday in Wrocław.
The minister emphasized that the adaptation of former military areas for the needs of the police complex will be financed, among others, by: from the uniformed services modernization program for 2026-2029, for which – as Kierwiński said – PLN 13 billion will be allocated.
The minister emphasized that the investment in Wrocław will also be financed from other sources. – We will want to use funds from the Provincial Environmental Protection Fund. We will cooperate with the local government, and we will also use the funds at the disposal of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in terms of the civil protection and civil defense program, he said.
6 thousand places in shelters
He added that as part of the reconstruction of the post-military complex, 6,000 square meters will be built. places in shelters. In addition to being the seat of the Municipal Police Headquarters, the complex will also be a training facility for Lower Silesian officers. It will also be a logistics center for the services.

PLN 10 million was allocated for the first stage of adaptation works of the buildings. The first buildings will be put into use in 2027, and the entire project two years later.
Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs and Administration Magdalena Roguska, speaking about the modernization program of uniformed services, also pointed to investments in smaller towns in Lower Silesia. She mentioned, among others: a new District Headquarters in Kłodzko and the State Fire Service headquarters in Tyniec Mały. – These facilities are not only buildings, but also increasing the potential of the services and their quick response capabilities, as well as investments in increasing the training opportunities of individual formations – argued Roguska.
