Gigi Becali doubts that Metalist 1925 Harkov's offer for Cătălin Cîrjan (23 years old) would be true, but the official document has now reached the public domain. Below, the contract and all related details.
On Wednesday, Andrei Nicolescu, Dinamo's president, confirmed that a letter had indeed arrived at the club's address offer for Cătălin Cîrjan. Those from Metalist 1925 Kharkiv, the 7th place in Ukraine, proposed a substantial amount, 4 million euros.
Dinamo countered that they are waiting for 5 million to give up the footballer, and the Ukrainians retracted and adapted the proposal.
In this new formula, Dinamo would have €4 million guaranteed and could receive up to another €500,000 depending on Metalist 1925's achievements.
Here is the official offer for Cătălin Cîrjan
The offer, which Gigi Becali doubts is true, was published by golazo.ro. Dated January 14, it can be seen how the Ukrainians proposed 4 million euros to be paid in 4 equal installments, as follows:
-
1 million euros until March 1, 2026;
-
1 million euros until August 1, 2026;
-
1 million euros by February 1, 2027;
-
1 million euros by August 1, 2027.
The proposal also provides a 10% percentage of the profit that Metalist 1925 would make on the player's resale. For example, if Metalist would buy Cîrjan for 4.5 million and later sell for 8 million, Dinamo would receive a tenth of the difference in amounts, i.e. 350,000 euros (10% of 3.5 million).
How can you tell such lies, are we idiots? You take us for idiots if you say these amounts! If you say 4 million for Cîrjan, it means that you are taking us for fools! With subject and predicate, you lie to me! I liked Andrei Nicolescu, a quality boy, but now, if he said that, that's it, I changed my mind: he tricked me.

Now, the bonuses. The offer provides up to 500,000 euros in the form of bonuseslike this:
-
200,000 euros if Metalist 1925 Kharkiv would qualify for the Champions League group;
-
100,000 euros if Metalist 1925 Kharkiv would qualify for the Europa League group;
-
50,000 euros if Metalist 1925 Kharkiv would qualify in the Conference League group;
-
200,000 euros if they win the championship in Ukraine;
-
100,000 euros if it would rank 2nd;
-
50,000 euros if it would rank 3rd;
-
75,000 euros if Metalist 1925 would win the Ukrainian Cup.
Important: these bonuses would activate only if the footballer would play in “at least 75% of the official matches of the club in that season, excluding the periods in which he would be injured”.

Even if Metalist would achieve all those objectives during the duration of Cîrjan's contract, the bonuses would still not exceed 500,000 euros, this being the ceiling stipulated in the contract.
Cîrjan refuses the transfer to Ukraine
Even if Dinamo would like to accept Metalist 1925's proposal, its captain is not willing to play in Ukrainea country under military siege by Russia.
Although he would have received a salary much higher than what he receives at Dinamo, Cîrjan chose to refuse this opportunity, according to journalist Emanuel Roșu. The midfielder prefers to wait for a concrete offer from a Western championship.
