Krasnoyarsk residents were reminded what not to feed birds in cold weather

16 January 14:08
The forest fire center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reminded Krasnoyarsk residents what they should not feed birds in cold weather.
Experts remind that even a handful of grain should be correct. You should not give birds rye and fresh white bread, as well as baked goods. Millet, chips, fried and salted seeds and nuts, and any salted, smoked or fried food will also not be beneficial.
It is better to offer ducks low-fat cottage cheese, herbal granules, oatmeal, raw grains or cereals and seeds, as well as boiled fish. Jays, waxwings, bullfinches and tap dancers prefer frozen and fresh berries, as well as dried fruits.
Tits and nuthatches can be given unsalted lard, butter, seeds, oatmeal, fresh fruits and berries, as well as dried fruits. Pigeons and sparrows prefer raw seeds, grains and cereals, oatmeal and dried white bread.
Also, for all types of birds, you can put a piece of chalk or eggshell in the feeder.
