“My choice would be Great Britain and Germany“, Sergey Karaganov said in an interview with the American journalist Tucker Carlson, answering the question about the countries that could become the target of a nuclear attack by the Russian Federation, writes the Moscow Times.

I pray to the Most High that this will not happen. But Germany should be first, because Germany is the source of the worst stories in European history.”

The discussion of the possible nuclear attack came after the journalist asked about the consequences for Europe if President Vladimir Putin were assassinated by Ukrainians or Europeans.

“Then, of course, it would mean that we would punish, hopefully not the United States, but Europe needs to be wiped off the map. It should be wiped off the geopolitical and geostrategic map, because it's an annoying nuisance.”said Karaganov.

He stated that a nuclear attack on Europe could occur within two years if “they are not ending this senseless war and instability in and around Ukraine” and that such an attack would be preceded by strikes with conventional weapons.

Using nuclear weapons is a great sin, and I do not want Russia to commit such a great sin. But if necessary, we must eliminate the European threat to humanity,” Carlson's interlocutor pointed out.

In October 2024, Karaganov declared that nuclear weapons in Russian hands were a “but from the Almighty”which scientists helped to obtain.

“We must not anger God—we must actively use the weapons given to us for self-salvation,” he said. Earlier, Karaganov also called for a nuclear strike against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Bild previously reported that this Putin adviser and his wife own an apartment in Berlin, which he proposes to destroy.

According to the journalists, Karaganov earned 850 euros per month from renting the property. In 2023, the pro-Kremlin ideologue learned that he was likely to be subject to sanctions, after which he decided to “donate” part of the apartment in Berlin to his wife.
