In the vicinity of Krasnoyarsk in 2025, an increase in the number of mining farms was recorded. According to data from the MTS digital ecosystem, in 2025 the number of detections of mining cases in the country as a whole increased by 44%.

Using artificial intelligence algorithms, a special EnergyTool platform allows you to identify anomalies in energy consumption, which analyzes data from automated commercial electricity metering systems (ASCAE) in real time. This allows you to quickly find unauthorized taps, remote meter hacks, and large-scale unaccounted for loads such as mining farms.

The share of mining detected by a digital solution accounted for more than 196 thousand cases in 2025, which is 44% more than a year earlier. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, most of the fraud occurred in the Krasnoyarsk urban district – including the urban-type settlements of Berezovka and Emelyanovo, as well as in the outskirts of Norilsk and Minusinsk. The overall fraud detection efficiency has reached 45 % in 2025.

In the summer, the number of hacked meters decreased by five times compared to the spring period. 78% of cases of interference with the operation of metering devices occurred with three-phase meters, which are more often used to power private homes. Single-phase devices accounted for 22% of attacks.
