Herota overflowed its banks in Sochi and is flooding the Khostinsky and Adler districts. The water level in the river increased by 74 centimeters and reached 11.62 meters. The flooding also affected the Dzhubga federal highway. The rain blows down trees and cars.
All because of the heavy rains that hit the city tonight. Fallen trees cut off power lines. In Dagomys, problems with light and heating have already begun.
The soil is disappearing in the local villages of Semyonovka, Progress, Sergey-Pole, Krasnaya Volya. People are hiding at home. The rain also washed out the road to the village of Kashtan – it was only possible to get to the Lazarevsky district of the city along it. More than 100 people were trapped. And in the village of Bestuzhevka, houses literally go underground. Five buildings and a section of road were damaged. According to the mayor, 13 landslides and 8 road damages were recorded in Sochi.
The natural difficulties do not end there – heavy snowfall is raging in Krasnaya Polyana and other mountainous areas of Sochi. A storm warning has been announced.
