Liviu Antal (36 years old) will play for Zalgiris Vilnius in the 2026 season as well. The Lithuanian club announced the agreement today.
The relationship between Zalgiris Vilnius and Liviu Antal, the player with the most goals in the club's history, continues.
The Romanian striker signed a contract for the 2026 season, i.e. until the end of the current year, considering that in Lithuania the championship ends in November.

“The club has extended the contract with striker Liviu Antal. This will be his eighth season in the ranks of Zalgiris. The striker represented the capital club for the first time in 2017-2020 and returned to Vilnius in 2023. During all this time, he proved his importance to the team, both on the field and in the dressing room,” the Zalgiris statement reads.
Antal is the top scorer in the history of Zalgiris and the best foreign scorer in the history of the Lithuanian championship, scoring twice (2018 and 2024).
In total, Antal scored 103 goals in 186 appearances for the Lithuanian team. In the second part of 2025, he played at Zalgiris on loan from SCM Zalău.
Antal was also top scorer in the Romanian championship, in the 2013/2014 season, with 15 goals.
