A new type of fraud has appeared in Russia: scammers create porn with Russians to extort money
To generate pornographic videos, criminals use neural networks, and then threaten to send fake videos to the victim’s relatives if they do not receive money. A resident of St. Petersburg has already encountered a new pattern of threats.
First, the scammers wrote to her in messenger and demanded to return the money for her sister’s non-existent microloan, and when she refused, they threatened to send porn to all her relatives. As a result, the girl contacted the police.
