Bucharest is under a weather warning “for particularly cold weather, mixed precipitation and poles, as well as snow and snow cover” until January 13, ANM announces in the special forecast for Bucharest. On Sunday, in Bucharest, there were heavy snowfalls, and the snow was deposited in a layer of almost ten centimetres. In the weather forecast for Monday, January 12, meteorologists announce that it will be cold, but there will be no more snow.

The streets of Bucharest were covered, on Sunday, by a substantial layer of snow. Meteorologists announced that by January 12, at 8:00 a.m., “the total thickness of the snow layer will generally be 12-15 cm”.

And the weather attracted a lot of curious people to the parks, who wanted to enjoy the snow: they went sledding on the slopes in the parks.

In the weather forecast, the meteorologists also mention that until Tuesday, “the municipality of Bucharest will be under the influence of a meteorological information message targeting particularly cold weather, mixed precipitation and poles, snow and snow cover”.

A weather alert is in effect for this date and for most of the country.
