A resident of Novosibirsk received a suspended sentence for loan fraud in Krasnoyarsk. She did this at the request of a male friend, the press service of the regional police said.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 37-year-old woman met a Krasnoyarsk resident in one of the cafes in Novosibirsk. The man offered her “earn money»by taking a loan from a bank. The money had to be transferred “to the customer»and the woman herself would receive a certain amount for personal needs.
The couple decided to carry out the scam at the beginning of 2025. To do this, the woman came to Krasnoyarsk and settled in an apartment rented by a new acquaintance. Since the attacker already had a loan and a new loan might not be approved, the man advised her to change her passport.
With a new document and a fake salary certificate of 129 thousand rubles, the woman came to the bank and received money to buy a car in the amount of 2 million rubles. She conveyed to a friend, and he sent 160 thousand rubles to her card.
“The woman explained to the police that she had no intention of paying off the loan. A criminal case was initiated against the attacker under Part 3 of Art. 159.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud in the field of lending.” Having considered the materials of the criminal case, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk found the woman guilty and sentenced her to three years of suspended imprisonment with full compensation for damage to the bank», — told the police.
