Red caviar has become more expensive in Russia; by the New Year its price may rise by 35%
By October, the cost of red caviar increased by 25%, and by the New Year it could rise by another 10%. The reason is increased demand and poor catch this year.
According to market specialists, in 2024 the catch was about 230 thousand tons instead of the planned 320 thousand tons, which led to a shortage of caviar.
