Iran threatens the US and Israel. Parliament announces “strong blow”


The Iranian parliament convened on Sunday in response to the two-week-long protests, which initially broke out due to the economic crisis, but quickly turned into the biggest challenge to the authorities in Tehran in years. During the meeting, deputies chanted the slogan “Death to America!” Calibaf accused US President Donald Trump of supporting a “terrorist war” against Iran and warned him against making “miscalculations.”

He also announced that Iran would “deal a strong blow” to all those behind the country's destabilization. These statements appeared in the context of Trump's recent threats, which warned the Iranian authorities against using violence against demonstrators and did not rule out intervention.

Israel on high alert
According to Reuters reports, Israel is preparing for a possible US intervention in Iran. Three Israeli sources cited by the agency said the country was on high alert. However, it was not specified what actions were taken in connection with this situation.

The tragic outcome of protests in Iran
According to the Human Rights Activists Information Agency (HRANA), a US-based non-governmental organizationthe number of confirmed deaths increased to 116. HRANA, however, emphasizes that the balance only includes cases that have been confirmed, and the actual number of deaths may be higher. The Iranian authorities have restricted access to the Internet, which makes it significantly difficult to verify information and monitor the situation.
