Although he did not get to debut for Milan's big team, Coubiș has accumulated some experience at the big Italian club, Nistor believes, and this will help U Cluj to achieve its goals.

Dan Nistor spoke, after the transfer of Coubiș to U Cluj: “I don't think he was at Milan like a duck to water”

The “Dinosaur”, as he was called by U Cluj after extending his contract, offered the reply of the day when he spoke about the arrival of Coubiș from Milan.

“I saw him for two days. He's a guy… Coubiș looks good, quite good, he's very well made and I hope he'll help us a lot. I don't think he was at AC Milan like a duck to water, so he has qualities and I hope he will help us. We integrate him into the team, as we do with every newcomer, to help us, to play and from here to relaunch his career.

May God grant that he is well, that he enters the team well because we need him and that he becomes an important footballer for Romania, because that is the most important”, said Nistor, according to orangesport.ro.

Andrei Coubiș was also wanted by Dinamo, but in the summer of 2025. Then, the stopper refused the “dogs” and was loaned to Sampdoria, in Serie B, where he didn't play a single minute.

Dinamo was no longer interested in his services this winter, and U Cluj came in and loaned him until the end of the current season.

Coubiș is quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 100,000 euros, and the experience at U Cluj is the first for him in Romania.
