The vice-captain of the red-blue team was sold for 1.5 million euros to Al Ain, the most successful team in the Emirates. The midfielder played for FCSB in 212 matches, managed to score 16 goals, provide 13 decisive assists and win 4 trophies, two championships and two Super Cups.
Şut has 39 matches in European competitions for FCSB. He wore the armband 35 times in his career with the red-blue team.
The midfielder delivered an emotional parting message expressing his love for FCSB and wished his former teammates to win the title.
Adrian Șut: “FCSB was never just a club for me. It was my home”
“One of the champions is leaving. The time has come to say goodbye. After 5 and a half years, the time has come for a goodbye that hurts more than words can explain.
I arrived at FCSB as a child, with big dreams, eyes full of hope and a pure desire to play for the team I loved since childhood. This is where I grew up, this is where I trained and this is also where I learned the meaning of sacrifice, pressure and the honor of wearing this shirt.
FCSB was never just a club for me. It was my house. It was my family. It was where I became a man, where I fell and got back up, where I fought, dreamed and felt what it means to play with your heart for some colors. The experiences here have defined me as a footballer and as a person and will forever remain deeply imprinted in my soul.
I leave with my head held high, with respect, gratitude and a sincere love for this club. No matter where the road takes me, the bond created here will never be broken. Because, wherever I am, I will always remain one of you – a supporter who will experience every joy and every struggle of the FCSB with the same emotion.
It has been an immense honor and pride to wear the captain's armband of this team and represent the dressing room, the club and the supporters on the pitch. It is a responsibility that I will always carry in my heart.
I wish with all my heart that the end will find us happy and united, celebrating the 29th title, because FCSB and its supporters always deserve to be on top. I'm not saying goodbye. I say thank you for everything,” Adrian Șut said on Instagram.
