“What will Trump do with Romania”, in CTP's opinion. “And we will not stop flattering him “diplomatically” until the end”

Cristian Tudor Popescu criticized the actions of American President Donald Trump, including the attitude of the White House leader towards our country.
The journalist criticized the US president's decision to let the strategic arms control treaty with Russia, the so-called New START, expire.
“We were saying that the humanist era, which began 250 years ago in America, has ended, and all of America has now entered the nuclear stone age. Which is confirmed very quickly: Trump says that he has no intention of renewing the nuclear treaty with Russia: “When it expires, it expires!” Anyway, mutual inspections and verifications have stopped since 2022. China does not want to sign any nuclear treaty, claiming that does she know how many warheads she needs for national security”, wrote CTP, on Friday, in an opinion posted both on its Facebook page and on Republica.ro.
Trump, CTP continued, “goes down even further in time, to beyond June 15, 1215.”
“Then the King of England, Ioan Fară țara, was forced to sign the Magna Charta Libertatum, a proto-Constitution, by which, for the first time, royal powers were limited. The monarch must obey some laws. Until then, the Law was Himself. This is exactly what King Trump is saying now: “I don't need any international law. Only my own mind can decide whether or not to have global power”, added Cristian Tudor Popescu.
He believes that thus “800 years of human history are erased in one fire”.
“Or more shots,” CTP pointed out.
“I suspected that a signal to Beijing had left Washington before the 'Venezuela operation.' And here's what's happening: the damage to China is huge, it can no longer import oil from Venezuela, and it was importing a lot, Maduro was heavily in debt to China, which has invested heavily, has possessions, and everything is blocked. Instead, when asked what his position is on Taiwan, Trump declares: “It's China's choice what to do with Taiwan. If he occupies it, I will be very unhappy». That's it,” the journalist said.
The CTP also criticized Trump's threats against countries in the Western Hemisphere.
“Then, in parallel with Greenland, he wants to send the army to Mexico, supposedly to fight the drug cartels. Once the American units are there, Trump can decree that the president Claudia Sheinbaum, who, anyway, “doesn't run Mexico” is, in fact, the boss of the traffickers and inflates her like Maduro. The president of Colombia, first threatened, is now summoned to the White House. Only in terms of Greenland, Europe seems determined to resist, supporting Denmark. A senior Copenhagen official stated without hesitation: “First we shoot, questions later!”, CTP also said.
“What will Trump do with Romania?”
Cristian Tudor Popescu suggested that the current US president “is not interested” in Romania.
“It sounds a bit ridiculous to ask ourselves: what will Trump do with Romania? In principle, he is not interested in anything. Otherwise, he can do whatever comes to his mind. The strategic partnership with the USA, let's not kid ourselves, can become null overnight. The fact that we are NATO members matters even less. American soldiers and equipment from Romania can be quickly withdrawn, if God so wills, that is, Trump. And we will not stop flattering him “diplomatically” until end”, concluded CTP.
