The U21 player signed a contract until the summer with the Bucharest team, where he will play on loan, according to journalist Emanuel Roșu.

Ghimfuș was not a basic man for Ovidiu Burcă at Sepsi. He played 12 games in League 2, provided two assists, but did not score. He has 344 minutes this season in the second tier, an average of 29 minutes per game.

In the Romanian Cup, Ghimfuș played 3 matches and scored one goal. Throughout his career, the attacking midfielder also played for Concordia Chiajna.

Ghimfuș, the name that causes nightmares in St. George

Giovani Ghimfuș's name is linked to the controversy from the match between Sepsi and Chindia, which ended 1-1 on the field, lost by Covasneni 0-3 at Comisii, in the first stage of this League 2 season.

In the summer, Ghimfuș was sent to the field in the match against Chindia without having been put on the list before the match. The Department of Competitions within the FRF self-reported and put the case on the table of the Disciplinary Commission, which gave the decision that the match was won on the “green table” by Târgoviste.

“It was just a mistake. We didn't use a player who didn't have the right to play. That he was on the A or B list is just a mistake by our delegate. The referee let him enter the field, so there would be a lot to discuss here,” said Lazslo Dioszegi, Sepsi's boss, for GSP.
