New emissions of oil and fuel oil are expected in Kuban and Crimea in the next couple of days.
The wind has changed to the west – this means that the fuel oil can reach the Tamano-Zaporozhye zoological reserve. Up to two million birds live there during migration, and there may be more dead birds.
Dead animals are found on the coast every day—twelve dead dolphins recently washed ashore. Many of them are stained with fuel oil.
That night, the storm carried away bags of dirty sand and oil from the Anapa beach; no one removed the bags of fuel oil.
