Back at full capacity after a series of problems, Cameroonian central defender Joyskim Dawa (29 years old) is ready to play again for FCSB.

Joyskim Dawa suffered a serious injury last spring, which is why he did not get to make his debut in the current competitive season. The footballer is now training side by side with his FCSB teammates and is ready to play from the first minute at the start of the year. Today, in the training camp in Antalya, he held a press conference in which he spoke about the injury that has plagued him recently and about his plans for 2026.

Joyskim Dawa ready to play again for FCSB: “It's been the hardest 8 months of my life”

“Yes, physically I'm fine. And mentally I'm very fine. It's been a long road and I'm ready. Everything will be fine when I play. I hope to help my team win a lot of matches. The hardest part was watching the matches on TV or in the stands. All the matches were hard to watch. But injuries are part of football. I hope it's the last.

I want to come back well, stay injury free and help my team. I'm ready. I was in no rush to come back too quickly. After this camp I will be strong. They were the hardest months of my life. But now everything is in the past and I only think about the future.

For now, my goal is to come back as good as possible. Let it be the comeback of the year. I want to have the best 6 months possible. These 8-9 months I worked hard. I believe in myself. Now it's a little harder in training, because I've only just come back. But it's very important to work hard and I'm happy to play and help the team,” said Joyskim Dawa at the press conference.

Then he also spoke about the title fight: “We have a good team, I think we can win the title. We also have a new player. He is very good. He plays well with the ball, he has quality. It is very good that we have competition. We need as many players as possible because anything can happen at any time. And Ngezana I think will come back very strong from the African Cup.

I told Mihai Popescu to be strong mentally. It can happen to anyone. He needs to train hard and will definitely come back stronger.

If Șut's departure is official, I wish him well. To take care of his family. He is a good boy, a very good footballer.

The first chance for Dawa to play again is right on January 9, from 16:00. Then FCSB will play the only friendly in Antalya, with Beşiktaş.
