Just returned to his group Tottenham after an injury that kept him sidelined for almost a year, Radu Dragusin (23 years old), will be present on the bench of the Londoners in tonight's duel against Bournemouth. The duel takes place from 21:30, on the field of “cherries”.
On the occasion of his return to the team, Tottenham's official YouTube channel posted a video showing the period in which he was preparing for his return to the field, but also showing some of Radu's habits outside the football field.

Radu Drăgușin was absent from the field for almost a year, after in the Europa League match against Elfsborg, played on January 30, 2025, he suffered a rupture of the cruciate ligament at the level of the knee. The defender spoke in the video about the moment he found out the diagnosis, but also how his fiancee, respectively his mother, said they would be by his side during the recovery period, which was difficult.
He lives in London with his fiancee Ioana, but also with their dog Ragnar, with whom he speaks in Romanian. Radu presented some of his habits, including playing chess, a passion he has had since childhood, but also cooking. The defender also talked about the moment he arrived at Tottenham.

Unique footage from the time of his admission to the hospital for his operation was shown. His fiancee was by his side throughout this difficult period, and in the end he proposed to her. Radu spoke emotionally about the special moment in the life of the two.

The video also captured footage from the moments when Radu was recuperating at the training base of the London formation. James Maddison is one of the colleagues who supported the Romanian the most during this period.
At the end of the clip, images from the Romanian's return to the field were shown. Radu scored 6 minutes in the Premier League duel against Crytal Palace, played on December 28, 2025.
I miss the national team
The defender said he was sick of playing football, especially for the national team, given that he was an important missing piece in the 2026 World Cup qualification campaign.
“It's a completely different feeling when you play for the national team. For me, when you play for Romania, you're playing for a country with over 20 million inhabitants. You're playing for every Romanian child. You can't describe this feeling, you can't compare it to anything else“, Radu Drăgușin also declared.
