Monday, Rapid announced the transfer of Daniel Paraschivtop loaned until the end of the season from Real Oviedo. He had arrived in Antalya, in the team's training camp, since Sunday evening.

One day after the formalization of the transfer, the president-minority shareholder of the club, Victor Angelescu, explained how this option was reached and what financial effort is involved in bringing Paraschiv.

He had scored quite a few goals at Hermannstadt at that time, I also knew him from the second league, where he was one of the best strikers. At that time, the transfer was not made. If I remember correctly, Hermannstadt was asking for 1 million and we didn't want to pay that amount.

Now he seems to us a suitable striker for Rapid. Costel Gâlcă had the first word, who knows him very well and wanted him. He knew him very well from our championship, naturally he also had references from Spain, but he knows him primarily from us.

Daniel Paraschiv: “I quickly decided to come to Rapid”

Tuesday, Paraschiv held a press conference in Antalya, in the training camp of Giulești, explaining that he immediately followed through on the proposal to sign with Rapid.

“I made a quick decision to come here. It was in the moment. It was an answer given as soon as I got the question. It took longer because there were three teams involved, but the transfer was not in jeopardy. The money is not that important. It sounds cliché, but it matters a lot where you are and how well you feel.
