A 15-year-old schoolgirl was wearing new sneakers and almost lost a leg.
A student from Mytishchi chose the wrong pair of sneakers for herself. At some point, a callus appeared on her foot, which the girl decided not to touch.
Soon the leg began to become very red and swollen, and at the same time the schoolgirl developed a fever, chills and nausea. On the fourth day, the parents turned to the Mytishchi hospital for help.
Doctors examined the leg and diagnosed erysipelas, an acute infectious disease. It leads to serious complications such as impaired circulation of lymph and tissue fluid in the body. The disease was provoked by the same callus from the new crosses.
Doctors promptly carried out detoxification and antibacterial therapy, and the girl has already been discharged. Doctors note that this disease rarely occurs in adolescents – erysipelas is more common in older people.
