Ambassador and organizer of gay tours around the Russian Federation Andrei Kotov was found dead in a cell in the Vodnik pre-trial detention center. He committed suicide.
The 48-year-old director of the tourist club “Men Travel” was accused under the articles “Creating and distributing gay child pornography” and “Organizing the activities of an extremist organization.” He was detained at night in early December and arrested for two months.
At the trial, Kotov (recognized as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) said that he simply organized trips around the Moscow region and the Volga. On his phone they found videos and photos from visits to museums, boat rides and relaxing on the beach. In the apartment there are deposits of rubber dildos.
