Power outages began in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau. Following Transnistria, where in addition to electricity, heating also disappeared. Apartments are turning into freezers, people are trying to warm themselves in every possible way. The reason is the previously announced suspension of Russian gas supplies due to debt to the Russian Federation. Main:
— According to locals, the gas was turned off at 7 am. The Moldavian State District Power Plant switched to coal, but this did not help much.
— Centralized heating and hot water were turned off in Transnistria, representatives of the Tirasteploenergo company reported.
— Also, light, heat and hot water supply were lost in towns and villages. Mainly affected were people living in private houses and apartments with autonomous heating. In living spaces without autonomous heating, gas is still available.
— According to a resident of Chisinau, trolleybuses stopped working in the city. Also due to the lack of electricity in the city.
— The temperature in Tiraspol is up to +6. In the houses it feels like nighttime – down to -4. About 80% of electricity in Moldova is provided by the state-owned regional power plant in Tiraspol. Which practically stopped working.
— Meanwhile, in Ukraine they announced that the price of gas for the average citizen will increase 4 times.
On December 28, it became known that from January 1, Gazprom would stop gas supplies to Moldova for debts. Prior to this, Nezalezhnaya refused to renew the contract for the transit of Russian gas. Deliveries also stopped this morning.
