The negotiations with Dinamo did not materialize in a collaboration, but Andres Dumitrescu (24 years old) remains a player of interest for several teams in the Super League. U Cluj is following in his footsteps.
Just returned to Slavia Prague after his loan at Sigma Olomouc expired, Andres Dumitrescu is now negotiating his next move. He will not stay at Slavia, as the option of prematurely terminating the contract due in 2027 is also on the table.
A likely destination is the Romanian Superliga. The left-back was at the top of Dinamo's list for that position, but the parties did not reach a common denominator in the negotiations.
U Cluj entered the game and wants to take advantage, after Dinamo missed the transfer of Andres Dumitrescu
Another team from the domestic championship wants to take advantage of this situation, U Cluj, which is looking to get Dumitrescu's signature.
Dumitrescu was bought by Slavia Prague in September 2023. The Czechs paid 1 million euros, then loaned him twice to the team from which they took him, Sepsi OSK, respectively to Sigma Olomouc in the summer of 2025.
In the current season, Dumitrescu played only 5 times at Sigma Olomouc. Between stages 1 and 13 it was not used at all.
Former junior and youth international, Andres has also been selected for the first national team. However, he did not get the chance to debut, being an unused substitute in a 2-1 draw with Israel in November 2023.
