With these words, the Russian Foreign Minister began a meeting with his British counterpart in December 2017.
In his memoirs, Johnson described Sergei Lavrov as a tall, “cigarette-smoking”, dark, half-Armenian man “with a strangely satisfied squint.”
He claims that the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a personal meeting, “forced” him to sit in front of the fireplace, “as if he were the headman, tormenting a fagot classmate at a Victorian school.”
