Gino Iorgulescu, the president of the Professional Football League, would like to revolutionize the current format of the Romanian SuperLiga.
The LPF official announced that he has taken into account the change of the system in the internal competition, from 16 to 12 teams, informs DigiSport.ro.
The reactions did not take long to appear, and several leaders in Romanian football did not agree with Gino Iorgulescu's proposal.
This is also the case of Claudiu Tudor, the president of Petrolul, who broadcast live on Digi Sport that the idea of the head of the LPF is “uninspired”.
“(Will you still support Gino Iorgulescu?) Honestly, we were among those who voted 'for'. If he does his job properly, we will see in two years what happens.
That idea with 12 teams in the championship seems uninspired to me. Maybe the new year will bring more inspiration,” said Claudiu Tudor in the “Fotbal Club” show.
