A tourist kidnapped in Georgia is killed. Local bandits threw the body of the deceased Russian into the river.
According to the Georgian police, on January 5, two criminals robbed a couple of tourists, shot 38-year-old Victor, took the body away in a car and threw it into the water to cover their tracks. The man's body was found in Mestia in the Nakra River. Both suspects were detained – they are 38 years old and 32 years old, one of them has a criminal record. The alleged killers face up to 20 years in prison or life in prison.
