The match between Anderlecht and Charleroi, in stage #20 of the Jupiler Pro League, was interrupted after only 13 minutes of play, following serious incidents in the stands.

It all started after Charleroi opened the scoring, when the “zebras” players celebrated the goal right in front of Anderlecht's ultras, a gesture that provoked violent reactions from the home fans.

The start of the match was difficult for Anderlecht. In the first 10 minutes, Charleroi created two great opportunities, one of which was saved in extremis by goalkeeper Coosemans.

The visitors' pressure paid off on the third important occasion. Pflucke was released in midfield, forcing Hey out of position and this left Etienne Camara completely unmarked in the box. The midfielder finished simply to open the scoring.

Referee Bram Van Driessche immediately stopped the game and sent both teams to the locker room. After a break of about 10 minutes, the players returned to the field and the match was resumed.
