Cristi Borcea breaks the silence about love parties in prison

• The Dynamo player was sentenced to 6 years and four months in prison in the “Transfeurilor File” (March 2014 – July 2018), being paroled after 4 years and almost 4 months.

• Belele kept himself aloof and was once arrested! In the “Retrocedations File” from Mamaia, 5 years in prison. In February 2019 he was imprisoned and released in November.

Invited to “Ovidiu's Friends”, Borcea told Ovidiu Ioanițoaia that “I'm fine now, but I don't have the energy I used to have. Anyway, I've got the adrenaline rush of having nine kids. Each one with his problems, with his school, with his meditations. I have three in America, two always go through Dubai. The rest are at school here. They came from skiing, they go skiing”.

Asked “Some of them you did while in detention, right?”the former owner of Dinamo answered directly: “In the first three years, four children!”.

Revelations about the “Transfer File”: “We had everything under control! We were a military unit”

“I made a lot of mistakes! But the “Transfer File” was proven in all countries… Italy, Spain, England, wherever, if there was a problem, he had to pay. But not so much for me. All decisions were made by the Board of Directors, in which I was mandated. I was the executive president. Let me sign…”, Borcea recalled about the case.

Then he went on to detail the case that landed him behind bars: “It was an abuse!”.

– Mr. Borcea, what exactly happened in the “Transfer File”?
– I'll give you an example: Bribery. He went free. Giovanni brought him when he took him to sign at Barcelona. He brought him to us for half a year, with an option of 100,000 per year.

Cristi Borcea would be heard as a witness in a fraud case

– That's right.
– For me, Niculescu and Danciulescu had 30,000. It was discussed in the Board of Directors and we did not agree to give him 100,000. And he went to Ajax free of contract. That's how he brought it.

– Good.
– And after two and a half years, Ajax spent 3,500,000 on him and I took him free from his contract at Dinamo. Free from contract at Dinamo and we gave him 500,000 a year and another 300,000 compared to the first year and we let him go. Contra had a clause of 800,000…

– But, tell me…
– It was the team of the Minister of the Interior. I had everything under control! With discharge. We were a military unit. How to do? The Board of Directors consisted only of ministers and generals. But if I was the only one, they said, “Dom'le, Borcea made a mistake.” I only sold Alexa, Mihalcea and Niculescu 3-4 times. “Nearly a league was in prison because of notoriety”

– Popescu gave the money.
– Gică Popescu and MM said at one point that they were prescribed. Then came Penescu, Iancu… Almost a league there, thanks to their notoriety.

– Porumboiu escaped. And Paszkany.
– Muresan has a file. But at that time we went with three teams to the UEFA Cup. We had two qualified teams, one directly and one in the Champions League preliminaries.

“When they arrested me, I paid 3.6 million euros”

– Do you think there was any connection between the arrest of Gică Popescu and the election of Răzvan Burleanu to the Federation?
– Well, the tickets appeared with each conviction before they were sentenced! I was an execution, what else…

– And now there is no way to try rehabilitation, to reopen the process, have you ever thought about that?
– After you serve half of your sentence and you don't have any problems you can go free. It was painful that they kept me for another two years…. I paid all the damage since they arrested me. I paid 3.6 million! In my case, the crime was in 1998, when I was 28 years old, and I was convicted in 2014, at 44 years old! So he held the trial for 16 years. We paid more than 2.5 million euros in penalties.
