The scheme to split up Blinovskaya’s business was invented by her husband Alexey. He himself spoke about this at the court hearing.
In his words, he was doing business solo, and the “marathon queen” was only performing in public. He also said that he came up with a scheme to split the business in order to reduce taxes. At the same time, Blinovskaya also admitted guilt in non-payment – in the amount of about a billion rubles.
The spouses divided the business supposedly in order to simplify accounting – they did not think about tax evasion. Alexey also complained that he did not have time to hire accountants and workers – the entire document flow between him and Elena was confusing. Before the end of the hearing, Blinovsky told the judge that he would return to the military unit, since he was only released for a day. He clarified: I was glad to see my wife. He then left the court, refusing to answer questions from journalists.
