Remaining without a commitment since July of this year, Florin Niță (38 years old) spoke about the domestic championship, about the return of FCSB in the fight for the play-offs, but also about the fittest goalkeeper in the Superliga, in his opinion.
The former Romanian international defended the goal of the red-blues between 2013-2018, being a full-time player in 117 matches and winning no less than 5 trophies with FCSB.

Niță continues to follow Romanian football and says that the level of the championship is balanced, and the red-blue team managed to get out of the difficult pass:
“I watch the matches. I have a lot of friends in the domestic championship, it's nice to follow them and hold their fists. I held my fists not only for those from FCSB. For example, Dobre is also my friend.
League 1 is a contested championship. The teams that were leaders last year had a hard time and did not find themselves, but Steaua (no. FCSB) managed to wake up and woke up properly. The dragon woke up! They had 63 games this year, it's not easy for anyone.
They overcame this moment and it was also seen in the match with Rapid that they played quality football and lived up to everyone's expectations. It will be in the play-offs and they certainly have the power to challenge anyone for the title.”

Florin Niță rules out a return to the Superliga
Despite the fact that he is free of contract, Florin Niță clearly says that he does not want, at this moment, a return to Romanian football:
“I've been training all this time with Costică Dumitru, whom I thank. I kept waiting for something to come during the past period of transfers, but it didn't happen. Maybe it will this time.
I want to be healthy and get a contract, but I wouldn't want to, honestly speaking, take a step back. By step back I mean the return to Romania. I know it's hard, but not impossible. I know what I can do and I know who I am.
There were teams that looked for me (no from the Superliga). I thank them for thinking of mebut at the time I said no and I think it's better for me”, said Florin Niță, according to sport.ro.
The former goalkeeper of the national team also spoke about the possibility of retirement:
“I haven't retired, but we'll see. I haven't factored in withdrawal yet, but the unpredictable can happen. I don't want this, obviously, but we'll see,” said Florin Niță, according to the cited source.
