According to him, over the past 24 hours, two dozen military clashes have occurred in Gulyai-Polye, and fierce battles are taking place for the city. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the day in the Gulyai-Polye direction, Russians attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times.
“The enemy is trying to infiltrate into the city center, his assault groups are trying to get inside the city, the enemy is trying to bring groups to the outskirts to consolidate. However, the Ukrainian defense forces are striking back and destroying these groups,” Voloshin said.
Trying to capture Gulyaypole, the occupiers do not take losses into account, he noted.
“The enemy’s main task, despite such losses, is to advance as much as possible and capture as many neighborhoods, as many streets as possible, as many houses as possible in this locality,” added the speaker of the southern defense forces.
