During a meeting in the government, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Justice and State Duma deputies came to the decision that it is necessary to enshrine in regulation increasing the minimum age for scooter users to 16 years and other personal mobility devices (SIM).
In addition, Russians will be required to obtain a license to operate scooters and will be prohibited from riding them on sidewalks and roadways. The government has already proposed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to look into this issue.
