During his speech in Jaryłówka, President Nawrocki spoke about the threats related to the actions of Russia and Belarus. He noted that Polish borders are under particular pressure today. “Under the pressure of the actions of the Russian Federation and Belarus, our borders are dangerous,” said the president, pointing to the need for soldiers and officers to be daily involved in the defense of peace and security. He also expressed his belief that their efforts are of key importance for Poland's future.

“Borders are not just a line on a map”
In his speech, the president referred to the difficult historical experiences of the Polish nation. He recalled that for over a hundred years Poland functioned without its own borders and statehood. “Today, our borders are not just a line on a map – they are the threshold of our home where our children, women and men live,” Nawrocki emphasized, referring to the symbolic meaning of borders as the foundation of security and national identity.
The President also addressed his words to soldiers and officers serving both in Poland and abroad. He emphasized their role as ambassadors of the country who contribute to strengthening the allied potential within NATO. He mentioned their defense missions on the eastern flank of the Alliance and the implementation of Poland's international obligations.

As the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Nawrocki expressed gratitude to soldiers and officers for their service on such a special day as Christmas Eve. “Soldiers and officers consciously chose to serve on this day, for common safety and good,” the president said, emphasizing their sacrifice and devotion.
During the visit, the president also expressed hope for the dominance of Christian values in the world, which, as he said, could contribute to ending conflicts and bringing peace. He extended Christmas wishes to all soldiers and officers, thanking them for their daily efforts.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that approximately 20,000 people were on duty on Christmas Eve. Polish soldiers.
