Igor Strelkov’s release may be disrupted due to a disciplinary punishment issued recently by the administration of the Kirovo-Chepetsk penal colony-5. Which was given after pills prescribed by doctors were found in his bedside table.
The drugs were allowed to be brought inside the colony. The other day, correctional colony officers went into the cell of the ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR, found them and issued a punishment. Because of this, he may be denied the possibility of commuting the unserved part of his sentence with a more lenient term.
Strelkov's lawyers said that this is a formal attempt to prevent him from leaving the penal colony. Since in the cell, except for the bedside table, there are no more personal places to store pills. And it’s supposedly impossible to carry them with you all the time.
