global risks, trade war and mental revolution of Polish business

At the same time, the world is entering the phase of verifying the “truth about AI”, because after the investment euphoria, warnings are increasingly heard that the sector of technology companies is overheated and the bursting of the AI bubble could trigger a turbulent recession. Traditionally, first on stock exchanges, only then in the real economy.

The world is in a phase of permanent uncertainty
Leading analytical centers agree on one thing: the global economy will grow slowly and in conditions of permanent uncertainty. Polish business in chaos – time for a mental change
In such a world, Polish entrepreneurs will not have the comfort of “clear signals from the environment”. We will make decisions amidst noise, conflicting forecasts and constant twists and turns. And that is why I believe that in 2026, the key factor in the competitive advantage of Polish business will not be revolutionary technology or a massive shift towards neglected innovation, but a mental change.
Why managers' competences will be crucial
For three decades, we have built companies in Poland that, organizationally and operationally, are on par with Western competitors, and in many cases even superior to them. We can calculate, optimize processes and manage costs. Our Achilles heel remains the way we think about risk. We want foreign expansion, but preferably with a guarantee of success. We want to take over foreign companies, but in such a way that nothing surprises us.
2026 as a test of the courage and strategy of Polish companies
In five years it will be easy to check who took advantage of this opportunity. This will be illustrated by the share of revenues from foreign markets, the number of acquisitions and partnerships, and the brand's position outside Poland. 2026 will not answer all questions about the future of the global economy. However, it may decide whether Polish business will remain only a valued subcontractor or whether it will permanently join the group of those who are able to turn the turbulent times of creating a new order into global success.
