Germany contributed record assistance to restore Ukraine's energy sector

According to him, during December the fund received €245 million in new contributions. From Germany, funds were contributed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (through KfW Bank).

Kolesnik called the fund one of the most effective mechanisms to help Ukraine’s energy sector after the shelling of the aggressor country, Russia. Funds from it are used to purchase equipment and carry out restoration work.

“The intensity of international assistance now must be commensurate with the intensity of enemy attacks. The supply of necessary equipment must correspond to the pace of enemy attacks,” the deputy minister said.
