On the occasion of Power Engineer's Day, the staff of the Boguchanskaya HPP opened a corporate museum

The professional holiday at the Boguchanskaya HPP was celebrated in a particularly symbolic way this year – with the opening of a new corporate museum. The ceremony became the central event of the anniversary program of the station reaching its design capacity. The celebration was attended by representatives of the administration of the Kezhemsky Municipal District, veterans of the construction of the hydroelectric power station and guests from the Historical and Ethnographic Museum named after. Yu.S. Kulakova.

“Today we open a new chapter in our history. During the first decade of operation at its designed capacity, the Boguchanskaya HPP produced more than 195 billion kWh of electricity and became one of the country's leading energy enterprises. The main credit for this goes to the team. Strong traditions of charity, volunteering and sports have been formed. Our task is to preserve and pass them on to new generations of energy workers, and the museum will become a tool for this work,” said Vladislav Kobyakov, General Director of the Boguchanskaya HPP.

The exhibition includes six sections and is structured as a route through the history of the development of the Angara and the development of hydropower in Siberia. From the sites of ancient people to the 19th century, from the GOELRO plan to the development of the region's energy sector: the first hydroelectric power stations, the formation of the Angara-Yenisei cascade, little-known facts in the history of the country's electrification. The central place is occupied by the chronicle of the design and construction of the Boguchanskaya HPP – from the early 1970s to the commissioning of the station in 2017.

The museum is decorated in a modern, bright style and is complemented by interactive solutions. The exhibition reflects current information on many areas – from archaeological excavations in 2025 to the latest data on production records and charitable activities of the station. In the center of the hall there is an art object in the shape of a hydraulic unit impeller. Along the perimeter there are high reliefs reflecting key stages in the history of the hydroelectric power station: the work of designers, the construction of dams, energy production and the participation of the station in the development of the Kezhemsky district. The excursion route is complemented by an audio play about the Boguchany hydroelectric power station, which immerses you in the atmosphere and creates the effect of being at the scene.

On the eve of the holiday, a general meeting of the staff and awards for the best employees of the station were traditionally held. For many years of conscientious work and success in their work, power engineers were presented with certificates of honor, gratitude and other awards from PJSC RusHydro, JSC Boguchanskaya HPP and the Association “Hydropower of Russia”. Twelve employees are included on the Board of Honor, many are commended for their contribution to the work of the team and activity in public life. On Power Engineering Day, the company summed up the results of the traditional “Energetic Team” marathon. Employees of the economic security and regime service were recognized as the most active; the title “Constellation of Talents” was awarded to the office organization department, and the administrative and economic department was awarded the “Sportsmanship” award.
