From December 27, in Krasnoyarsk public transport, passengers will be able to pay for travel without a conductor through the new QR-Transport mobile application. You can download it now.
The regional Ministry of Transport spoke about the innovation and the operating principle of the service:
“The QR-Transport application is a new service that allows you to pay for trips on public transport using a smartphone without using terminal equipment. How it works: withdownload the application, register and link your bank card. During the trip, scan the QR code or enter the digital code from the sticker in the vehicle and confirm the payment. The electronic ticket will appear in the application – you can show it to the driver or conductor“
The new application will not be rolled out everywhere for now.
From December 27, the service will operate on the following routes: buses No. 3, 21, 38, 85, 99; 11, 14, 26, 30, 49, 52, 64, 87; 10, 12, 19, 22, 31, 37, 55, 56, 95, 18, 69; trams No. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7; trolleybuses No. 4, 5, 6, 13, 15; electric bus No. 1. Stickers with codes are already placed in the vehicles. The old application will not work on these routes.
“Krasnoyarskavtotrans continues to modernize the public transport fare payment system and plans to expand the service coverage area,” the Ministry of Transport noted.
