As explained by the Social Insurance Institution, people who decide to end their professional activity in February 2026 will benefit from the annual indexation of contributions for 2024 and quarterly indexation until the third quarter of 2025.
Additionally, their pensions will be subject to benefit indexation effective from March 1, 2026. This means that their benefit may be higher than in the case of other dates.

For comparison, Polish women and men who will retire in July 2026 will benefit from the annual indexation of contributions for 2025 in June 2026. Contributions written after January 31, 2025 will be subject to indexation for the first quarter of 2026.
This solution may be beneficial for people who plan to work and pay contributions longer.
