The “Dogs” missed the chance to climb to first place, in an evening without inspiration, and the success of the Aradians also represents Adrian Mihalcea's first victory against the team he dedicated himself to as a player. After the game, Alin Roman, the man-of-the-match, was satisfied with the team's performance.
The goals of the match were scored by Alin Roman (33') and Valentin Costache (68'), former player of Dinamo, from the pass of the same Roman, named the best player of the match.
Alin Roman: “I played against one of the best teams”
After the final whistle, Alin Roman spoke about the team's success and the tactical plan implemented by UTA:
“The staff prepared the match very well and we managed to put the plan into practice tonight. We played against one of the best teams, who I think will fight for the title. We got pretty much everything we set out to do, we could have been more successful, but we weren't focused enough, at least I was.”
The vacation, “a breath of fresh air” for Alin Roman
The Arad midfielder admitted that the winter break comes at the right time, after a complicated period:
“I was waiting for this holiday like hot bread, after a difficult year, especially with what happened in Iași. I'm glad that we made the fans happy and that we won at home. For me, they were among the most difficult years in football.”
Asked about his personal numbers and the collaboration with Valentin Costache, Alin Roman emphasized the importance of the team:
“These are also due to my colleagues and coaches, who know how to value me. I don't consider myself a scorer, but rather a creator, and my colleagues help me to do my job. I get on very well with Costache, both on and off the pitch, and you can see that we get on well. I am convinced that we could have scored more goals together.”
Alin Roman, tied with Florin Tănase
