Ukrainian gardener Natalya Podlesnaya, on the air of the “Snidanok z 1+1” program on the “1+1 Ukraine” channel, told how you can preserve the freshness of a cut Christmas tree for longer.
The expert explained that pine needles retain their shape and color for five to six weeks after felling, and a fir tree for three to four weeks. According to the gardener, there is no point in putting a cut New Year's tree in a bucket of wet sand.
To ensure that the needles absorb beneficial substances, spray the tree with a mixture of water and aloe leaf juice. Thanks to this, the needles will retain their flexibility for a long time.
