Hotels improve results. More than half of the facilities have better occupancy than last year

The hotel industry showed significantly better results in November, the business segment is strong – according to a survey conducted by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Hotel Industry (IGHP) among hoteliers.

The study shows that November's results were clearly better than in the same period last year.

Occupancy rates were higher than those achieved a year ago, both in business and leisure facilities. More than half (51%) of hotels improved occupancy compared to November last year.

The business segment remains strong, while traditionally November is one of the weakest months for leisure hotels, it said.

In November, in the entire group of surveyed facilities, 69 percent hotels achieved an occupancy rate above 50 percent, of which 36 percent exceeded 70 percent

Among business hotels, 73 percent achieved an occupancy rate of over 50%.

Among recreational facilities, 44 percent achieved an occupancy rate of over 50%. Facilities in this segment with occupancy below 30%. it was 22 percent

IGHP reports that data on accepted reservations for December indicate moderate forecasts. Recreation hotels have better prospects due to the upcoming Christmas and extended New Year period.

Among all hotels participating in the survey, almost half (49%) currently have an occupancy rate during the Christmas period (December 24-28) below 30%.

129 hotels located in all voivodeships participated in the survey conducted by IGHP on December 4-9, 2025. Of these, 79 percent is located in cities. 39 percent are network objects. (PAP Business)
