Adrian Mazilu lived a new unhappy moment, in the duel between UTA Arad and Dinamocontested at the “Francisc Neuman” stadium. Starting for the second game in a row, Mazilu had to leave the field in the 28th minute, citing muscle problems.

The Dynamo footballer sat down on the pitch immediately after the change, and his gestures indicated a possible recurrence of the muscle injuries that kept him away from the field for a long time. In his place came the midfielder Cristian Mihai.

Recurring problems for Mazilu

The situation is all the more worrying as Adrian Mazilu comes after an extremely complicated period from a medical point of view. At the end of August, Dinamo and Brighton reached an agreement for the transfer of the player, but he had not played in an official match since April 2024, being held up by several injuries.

Mazilu's Dinamo debut came only three months after the transfer and almost 20 months since his last appearance in an official match.

Adrian Mazilu, only 9 appearances in two years

Dinamo paid the sum of 400,000 euros for 40% of the player's federation rights, the rest remaining at Brighton. The English club bought Mazilu from Farul Constanța in January 2024, for 3 million euros.

Quoted at 800,000 euros on Transfermarkt, Adrian Mazilu is a product of the Hagi Academy. He did not get to debut for Brighton's first team, being loaned to Vitesse in the Netherlands, where he played in only four games, the same number of games he had for Dinamo before the confrontation with UTA.
