5 million euro penthouse on the 34th floor, indoor pool, furniture from famous designers + What luxury neighborhood did Cristi Chivu choose

The Gazeta reporters visited the area where a lot of stars live in Milan, led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the current executive advisor of AC Milan. The Swedish star occupies a hundred square meter apartment on the top floor of Italy's tallest residential skyscraper. Inter's coach, Cristi Chivu, prefers another luxury neighborhood

A walk through the center of Milan will undoubtedly also take you through the luxurious Porta Nuova district. It is a former industrial area, but transformed over time, through a grandiose urban project, into a financial, business and premium residential pole, where a lot of stars also prefer to live.

Among them – Zlatan Ibrahimovic! Retired in the summer of 2023, the current AC Milan executive advisor chose a superpenthouse located on the top floor of Torre Solaria, one of the three skyscrapers that dominate the entire perimeter. And who would propose to see the former Swedish striker live, should only wait for him when he leaves/enters behind the wheel of his cars in the underground parking of the building.

Designed by an international architecture office in Miami, Torre Solaria is the tallest residential skyscraper in Italy. It is about 145 meters high, 34 floors, over 100 apartments, three distinct wings that allow exposure of the home in several directions, high glass walls, terraces with magical views over the whole city, towards the Dome or the Alps.

Zlatan chose here a superb penthouse located on the top floor, with a 360-degree panoramic view. The building is opposite Unicredit bank headquarters and close to Inter Milan's main offices.

The interior is left to be guessed from time to time from the Swede's posts on social networks. The images do not indicate opulence, but simplicity, practical and modern style.

Well, in a photo next to his dog, an English bulldog, appears an elegant Wiggle Side chair from Vitra (approx. 1,000 euros), part of the “Easy Edges” collection, signed in 1972 by Frank Gehry.

We are talking about the titan of post-modernist architecture and design, the creator of famous buildings such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles or the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.

In another image, Ibra presents a reinterpreted painting of a Swedish 1,000 kroner note, which features his face and the classic display of joy after a goal, arms outstretched like wings.

But in the back you can see two chairs from the collection of the Italians Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, iconic figures in terms of industrial design or household objects, including the Arco Lamp (1962), the famous tall curved floor lamp with a leg on the floor.

Ibrahimovic can also be seen in his Milan penthouse while working on various weight machines or on the edge of an indoor swimming pool.

And another detail that attracted attention in another post of the Nordic: a moving painting that simulates the x-ray of a hand, and the middle finger appears with the “message” that has become classic in multiple images of Chivu's former colleague from Ajax or Mutu at Juventus.

For a while, Ibrahimovic was a neighbor in Porta Nuova with the Bosnian Edin Dzeko, while he was playing at Inter. It is an area currently or in the past also favored by other footballers/coaches (Lautaro Martinez, Saelemaekers, Krunic, Spalletti, Romagnoli, Perisic, Castillejo, Felipe Melo).

And stars from other fields chose the entire luxury district of Milan: Lewis Hamilton (Formula 1, Ferrari), Diletta Leota (TV star), Gaia Trussardi, Diego Dolcini (stylists), Lorenzo Carvalho (Brazilian rapper), Wanda Nara (Icardi's ex-wife).

Messi, also attracted to the area in 2020

In 2020, the Peninsula press noted that including Lionel Messi and his father, Jorge, had purchased luxury homes in the premium district of Milan. The media speculated massively at the time that the Argentine's approach would have been a sign of preparations for a transfer to Inter, groped at the time by vice-president Javier Zanetti at a time when the South American star was entering the last year of his contract with Barcelona.

Finally, Messi arrived in the summer of 2021 at PSG, where he stayed for two seasons, to then move to Inter Miami in MLS, the project managed by David Beckham.

Instead, Inter's coach, Cristi Chivu, chose another luxury neighborhood in the capital of Lombardy: City Life, built on the site of the former Fiera Milano exhibition area. It is not located far from Porta Nuova, only 2-3 kilometers away, but it is just as famous and modern.

It is one of the most ambitious urban regeneration projects in Europe, bringing together luxury residences, office spaces, shopping malls, restaurants, an excellent public transport network and a huge park, plus multiple pedestrian areas.

City Life is particularly recognized for its avant-garde architecture models, to which famous names in the field have contributed, such as Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind or Arata Isozaki. The highest tower in Italy is also located here (Torre Isozaki/Allianz Tower).
