British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is being pressured to use Andrew Tate's trip to Dubai to obtain his extradition to the UK.

In the context in which Andrew Tate, aged 39 and a self-described misogynist, was going to participate in a boxing gala in Dubai on Saturday, former interior minister Priti Patel recalled that “the Tate brothers are facing extremely serious charges”, and “the prime minister must request the authorities in Dubai to arrest them when they come to visit and extradite them, so that a proper judicial process can take place”, reports the agency DPA, quoted by Agerpres.

Emily Darlington, a Labor MP who campaigned on behalf of Tate's alleged victims, described it as “an affront to justice that the Tate brothers are allowed to roam the world freely, while their alleged victims cannot even go on social media for fear of being harassed and having their locations exposed”.

“Too often we see in our society that the victims and survivors are the ones whose lives are fenced off, while the aggressors evade justice,” she emphasized.

“UK government has golden opportunity to arrest Andrew Tate in Dubai”

Matt Jury, of McCue Jury and Partners, which represents four women who have brought a civil suit against Tate, also urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer to take action, warning that “the British government has a golden opportunity this weekend to arrest Andrew Tate in Dubai and finally bring him to justice in the UK”.

“If you want to teach boys about the dangers of misogyny, start by showing them there are consequences,” he added, as the British government recently announced a training program for teachers to identify and tackle signs of sexism in the classroom as part of a national strategy to tackle violence against women.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan face multiple charges in the UK, including rape, assault, human trafficking and pimping. Bedfordshire Police obtained a European arrest warrant against them, but agreed to allow separate court proceedings in Romania against them for rape and people-trafficking to be completed first.
