Shocking revelations from the Epstein files: victim's testimony about meeting Trump at 14 and compromising photos of Prince Andrew

A new set of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein file, published on Friday by the US Department of Justice, brings famous names from politics, business and the monarchy back to public attention. Among them are the former US President Donald Trump and the former British Prince Andrew, both of whom were mentioned or appeared in materials that caused strong reactions.

According to documents cited by The Guardian, one of the references to Donald Trump appears in a complaint filed in 2020 by a woman identified as “Jane Doe.”
She claimed that she was recruited by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in 1994, at the age of 13, from a summer camp in Michigan. A year later, when she was 14, Epstein would have taken the teenager to the Mar-a-Lago club, where he would have introduced her to Donald Trump.

The court documents show that, at the time of the presentation, Epstein would have made a suggestive joke, and Trump would have reacted by smiling and nodding in approval. The woman stated that she felt uncomfortable, but too young to fully understand the situation. The lawsuit filed in 2020 was later ended by an amicable settlement, according to News.ro.
The same victim testified in 2021 at the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, later convicted of sex trafficking. She also stated that she participated in the Miss Teen USA contest in 1998, held at the time by Donald Trump.
In this context, a BuzzFeed News investigation from 2016 reappears, in which five former contestants claimed that Trump would have entered the participants' locker room while they were changing, at the 1997 edition of the contest.
Donald Trump has always denied knowledge of his criminal behavior and claims they spent time together in the early 2000s, long before Epstein was investigated by authorities.

Another sensitive point in the published documents concerns Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, former Duke of York. Among the declassified materials is an undated photograph in which he appears lying across the legs of several people, his head close to a woman's lap, under the smiling gaze of Ghislaine Maxwell, according to theguardian.

The image, a photograph of a framed photograph, was heavily commented on in the British and international press.
The release of the documents is part of the enforcement of the Epstein Transparency Act, which requires the US Department of Justice to release all materials related to the investigation. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that “several hundred thousand” of documents will be declassified, with thousands more to emerge in the coming weeks, with certain passages redacted to protect victims.
The Department of Justice's online platform was temporarily overloaded, with officials announcing a “extremely high volume of requests”.
However, the high level of censorship has drawn criticism from some congressmen and victims' lawyers. Republican Thomas Massie accused the authorities of not respecting “neither the spirit nor the letter of the law” recently adopted.
The files also include numerous photos of well-known personalities, including Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Bill Gates or the philosopher Noam Chomsky, in contexts related to Epstein or Maxwell. A spokesman for Clinton specified that the former president is not targeted by the investigation and that he severed ties with Epstein before his crimes became public.
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in August 2019 in a federal prison in New York while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
His death was ruled a suicide, but the case continues to generate controversy and reveal uncomfortable details about his relationships with influential people around the world.
