A 40-year-old man trained himself to sleep 30 minutes a day, while remaining alert and energetic
40-year-old Japanese Daisuke Hori became famous after participating in a reality show, where he claimed that he learned to sleep only 30-40 minutes a day and still feel alert.
According to him, this is the result of 12 years of training. Hori is sure that staying awake and working without breaks is quite possible. The secret is simple: just drink coffee an hour before meals and actively engage in sports.
He even founded the Japan Short Sleep Training Association and claims to have taught his wife to sleep 2 hours a night.
However, doctors are skeptical about his technique. Doctors believe that even those who sleep less need at least two full sleep cycles, or about 4 hours, to get enough sleep.
