Lavrov: Putin is open to contact
Lavrov also referred to the words of French President Emmanuel Macron, who stated after the European Council meeting that opportunities for direct talks with Russia should be sought. – If he [Macron] wants to talk, our president has repeatedly emphasized that he is always open to contact, said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
He also stated that the ongoing Russian-American dialogue on ending the war “does not require assistance” from European countries.
Commenting on the ongoing talks on the peace plan, Sergei Lavrov said that Russia does not yet have information about the talks between representatives of European countries, Ukraine and the US.
