A10 Auction House by Artmark marks the strongest December in its regional history! The results of the most important art auctions he organized this season prove it. It is the second year in a row that Artmark supports such events not only in Bucharest, but also in two other important capitals in the region, Zagreb and Sofia, through Artmark Croatiarespectively through Artmark Bulgaria. The auction prices obtained for the most important Romanian, Yugoslav and Bulgarian artists confirm the upward trend of the interest of regional collectors for an updated and connected art market with the native, European one. Thus, in December 2025 Artmark registered record total sales at group levelbut also numerous personal and national adjudication recordsconsolidating its position as the leading art operator in South-Eastern Europe.

In Romania: constant interest in the great masters of plastic art

In Romania, Artmark's Winter Auction (December 16) re-concludes the strong quotations of the great masters of Romanian classical and modern art, through results that can also be expressed in cumulative artist totals, relevant to the dynamics of the market. Thus, his works Nicolae Grigorescu brought the House in the Winter Auction a total of 365,000 Euros, those signed by Nicholas Tonitza managed a total of 222,000 Euros, and the works carried out by Stefan Câltia (to also highlight a contemporary landmark) totaled 117,400 Euros. Also, the most significant art auction this season indicated increased interest for other artists as well: Theodore Pallady achieved a total of 73,000 Euros, and, in the area of ​​contemporary pillars, Cornelius Baba totaled 55,500 Euros.

In Croatia, Artmark achieves a 50% increase compared to the previous edition

Zagreb Winter Auction (December 10) managed to mark the best art auction on the Yugoslav market to date, after two years of activity on the Croatian market, with a total sales of 429,550 Euros (compared to 271,150 Euros in December 2024), thus totaling an increase in the sales value of approx. 58.4%. The event was marked by many important artist personal records, such as: Vlaho Bukovacthe artist considered “the father of Croatian modern art”, achieved a new highest auction price – 90,000 Euros, with the work “Pictures”. And the Serb Sava Šumanović he also amazed, with a static nature – “Red Flower”which was awarded for 33,000 Euros, a personal auction record and well above the initial estimate. Along with them, regional artists such as Slovenians and Serbs Rihard Jakopič, Matija Jama or Friedrich von Amerling they also recorded notable results, confirming the attractiveness of the auction for collectors throughout the Yugoslav region.

And in Bulgaria, the best Artmark auction ever

The Winter Auction organized by Artmark in Sofia (December 17-18) marks the highest performing Artmark auction in Bulgaria, continuing the accelerated dynamics of the local art market. The event registered a total of sales of almost 500,000 Euros, which represents an increase of more than 20% compared to the 2024 Winter Auction and more than 45% compared to the 2023 edition.

In the top of the transactions were the works signed by Nikola Tanev (“A Market in Karlovo” – awarded at 32,500 Euros) and by Jules Pascin (“The Model in The Pink Dress” – awarded at 30,000 Euros), underlining the interest of collectors in the impressionist and modern artists of the Bulgarian market. The Winter Auction in Bulgaria was also marked by numerous personal artist records set on the Bulgarian art market, among which stand out Tsanko Lavrenov – with “By The Monastery Fountain”awarded at 24,000 Euros, after a spectacular increase from a starting price of 1,200 Euros, Genko Genkov – with “Lake Pancharevo”awarded at 19,000 Euros, Nikola Mikhailov – with “Little Girl and Her Doll (Olga Mihaylova, The Daughter of The Artist)”awarded at 16,000 Euros, times Elisaveta Konsulova-Vazova – with “Pink Chrysanthemums”awarded at 15,000 Euros.

Last Auction of 2025 – Christmas Auction: Jewelery and Decorative Art in Gold and Silveris scheduled for Friday, December 19, and will be held exclusively online on Artmark Live platformfrom 12.00. The event presents to the public unique jewelry and decorative art objects with impressive stories, such as those that belonged to Nicolae Ceaușescu.
